Job Description
Tim Hortons is a renowned Canadian multinational fast food restaurant known primarily for its coffee and doughnuts. Founded in 1964, Tim Hortons has grown into the largest quick-service restaurant chain in Canada, boasting thousands of locations worldwide. The company's mission is to provide fresh, high-quality food and beverages served with warmth and friendliness. With its strong focus on community, customer service, and product quality, Tim Hortons continues to be a favorite destination for breakfast and snack options throughout the day. The brand’s reputation for freshness and consistent customer experience is supported by rigorous baking and preparation standards established through its innovative Tim Hortons Baking Program.
The Baker role within the Tim Hortons Baking Program is essential to maintaining the Always Fresh guarantee, which ensures that every product served meets high standards of quality, freshness, and accuracy. This position is typically part-time or full-time within a fast-paced restaurant environment focused on delivering exceptional customer service. Bakers play a vital role in producing fresh bakery items throughout the day, managing product shelf life, and adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards. They are instrumental in enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring that displays are visually appealing and products are available in the correct quantities and variety.
In addition to baking duties, this role involves monitoring inventory, minimizing waste through efficient food production, and supporting overall restaurant operations such as cleanliness and organization of the kitchen production area. Bakers contribute to the speed of service by quickly and accurately fulfilling orders for both restaurant patrons and drive-thru customers. They must also adhere to all health, safety, and operational guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handwashing techniques. An ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate a customer-first attitude helps resolve issues by delivering prompt service recovery when necessary.
Being a Baker at Tim Hortons involves a commitment to teamwork, attention to detail, and an enthusiastic approach to food preparation and customer engagement. The company values associates who uphold its core service principles, including smiling, making eye contact, and saying thank you, to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Overall, this position offers individuals an opportunity to develop culinary skills, gain experience in fast food production, and contribute to a respected brand known for its dedication to freshness and quality.
