Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods
  • ability to lift, push, pull, and carry baggage and equipment, frequently up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and airport operational environments
  • must be able to take verbally direct in English
  • must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • must pass a pre-employment background check
  • must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
  • must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials

  • must have reliable telephone and transportation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous airline experience preferred
  • previous baggage handling experience preferred

  • ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment

Job Duties

  • Transport baggage between terminals, baggage claim areas, ticket counters, aircraft staging areas, and designated airport locations
  • assist with locating, recovering, and delivering delayed, misplaced, or priority baggage
  • coordinate with airline staff, baggage service offices, ramp teams, and airport personnel regarding baggage movement and delivery priorities
  • load, unload, move, and organize baggage carts, containers, and equipment safely and efficiently
  • verify baggage tags, claim information, and routing details to ensure accurate bag delivery and handling
  • respond to urgent baggage requests and assist with time-sensitive transfers or missed connection baggage
  • maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to baggage transfers, deliveries, or discrepancies
  • follow all airport, airline, and company safety, security, and operational procedures
  • conduct routine inspections of carts and equipment and report safety concerns or operational issues
  • maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service when interacting with passengers and airport stakeholders
  • support operational needs during irregular operations, peak travel periods, and weather-related disruptions
  • perform other duties as requested
