This role is for the position of Backwaiter, an essential team member who supports the smooth functioning of restaurant operations. The Backwaiter is primarily responsible for delivering food to guests promptly and courteously, ensuring that all guest requests are met with efficiency and attention to detail. This position plays a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations, helping to create a welcoming environment that enhances the overall guest experience. The Backwaiter also assists with other front-of-house duties such as greeting guests, seating, answering phones, and managing takeout orders.

This is an hourly position offering competitive pay starting at $2.13 per hour plus tips, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. P.F. Job Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • possess or obtain a current Food Handler’s Card where applicable
  • ability to stand, reach, bend, balance, and lift objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift
  • strong multitasking skills
  • excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Deliver food to guests efficiently and ensure all requests are met
  • monitor the expo line and run trays of food for dine-in
  • assist guests with any questions
  • clear and sanitize tables, seating, and floors according to restaurant standards
  • retrieve and transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station
  • restock and clean service stations as needed
  • operate kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, iced tea machines, and POS systems
  • interact courteously with guests and notify managers of quality or service concerns
  • follow company policies, dress code, and safety procedures
  • assist with greeting, seating guests, answering phones, and packaging takeout orders when necessary
  • support with beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service when required
