The Backstage Experience Coordinator (BEC) is a key role within Live Nation Entertainment’s venue operations, reporting directly to the venue Production Manager. This hospitality-focused position is responsible for administering various Live Nation and venue-designed programs that support local production and touring personnel. The BEC plays a crucial role in maintaining backstage hospitality expectations and meeting the division-wide goals to ensure that the Artist Commitment is not only met but exceeded. As a frontline hospitality ambassador, the Coordinator is entrusted with creating a phenomenal experience for touring personnel backstage.
This role is part-time and hourly, with the flexibility to work up to 40 hours or more during peak seasons, based on business needs. The BEC will greet and welcome touring artists upon arrival, assign dressing rooms, and serve as the main contact for all backstage hospitality needs. The role also involves hands-on tasks such as laundry care, tidying dressing rooms, and collaborating with local backstage catering to ensure the artist’s rider requirements and culinary preferences are fully met, enhancing the overall tour experience.
The Backstage Experience Coordinator will be actively engaged in Live Nation’s sustainability initiatives by contributing to programs that conserve resources, reduce waste, and promote band education on these efforts. Acting as the backstage brand ambassador, the BEC is the face of the service culture program and is responsible for completing post-event service recaps and analyzing venue service reports to develop actionable plans for service improvements in partnership with the Artist Services team, Production, and the Venue General Manager.
Additionally, the role involves research and collaboration to identify best practices and boost engagement and satisfaction among artists and crew. Coordinating with Production Managers and Catering Teams to facilitate advances, conducting pre- and post-show walk-throughs to prepare and inspect backstage areas, and overseeing dressing room and bus stock, including after-show meal coordination, are integral duties.
The BEC will also co-manage applicable backstage program budgets, handle vendor invoices, maintain detailed metrics and historical data relating to artists' preferences, and organize memorable, hospitality-driven moments at every show in partnership with other teams. Occasionally, the BEC may be responsible for making production runs for tours on select shows.
This role requires a passionate, motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong communication skills, organization, time management, creativity in problem-solving, and a genuine desire to serve others are essential qualities. This position also demands physical activity, including walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 30 lbs using proper techniques. Educational qualifications in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Business, Human Resources, or related fields are preferred, along with previous experience in backstage, production, or hospitality roles, and leadership experience is a plus. This comprehensive and impactful role within Live Nation Entertainment offers a unique opportunity to be part of unforgettable live entertainment experiences and support the global live event industry.
