As a Back Waiter, you will be entrusted with carrying and serving orders to tables, assisting the kitchen staff by expediting orders, assembling and garnishing dishes, and ensuring the quality and visual appeal of every plate arriving at the dining room. Your duties will also include removing used dishes, replenishing stations with necessary supplies such as coffee, tea, utensils, and condiments, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role preferred
  • Ability to carry trays and stand for extended periods
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Carry the order in hand or on a tray to the table and serve the plates for the customer at the table
  • Assist chefs with expediting orders, including assembly, garnishing, and inspecting the delicious food dishes for quality and visual appeal of the plate
  • Read the food ticket, pick up plates, and organize them in hand or on a tray for delivery to the tables
  • Remove dirty plates, glasses, and utensils from other tables and deliver them to the dishwashing station
  • Notify the expediter of other tables ready to be served
  • Replenish the stations with product and supplies including hot water, brewed coffee beans, tea, milk, utensils, plates, bread, butter, jellies, other garnishes, and condiments
  • Break down and clean work area, store perishable product, clean equipment and supplies, and restock to end of day par levels
