The position of BOH Line Cook/Prep Cook is an integral part of our culinary operations. Reporting to the Manager on Duty, Culinary Manager, and Corporate Operations or Culinary Leader, this role is fundamental in executing the high standards required in food preparation and kitchen organization. Although this position does not oversee other employees directly, it plays a vital role in maintaining seamless kitchen operations and contributing to the overall performance of our restaurant. The successful candidate will be entrusted with ensuring food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction in compliance with all safety standards. Responsibilities include culinary preparation, managing kitchen equipment, following recipe guidelines, performing inventory and food prep duties, and maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and restaurant areas. This role also involves participating in special events and collaborating with management to meet various restaurant objectives related to food production, cost management, and customer service.

Exceptional physical stamina is essential, as this role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, especially during peak operational times. The working environment includes exposure to extreme heat, slippery and wet floors, and busy kitchen conditions, necessitating the use of appropriate attire such as skid-resistant shoes. The BOH Line Cook/Prep Cook will also be expected to contribute to a culture of compliance, communicating effectively with guests, coworkers, and management, supporting diversity, and demonstrating respect and professionalism. Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience cooking in a restaurant kitchen
  • Food Safety/Food Handler certification required
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EEOC regulations
  • Ability to successfully perform all job duties of the Line Cook/Prep Cook role
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings
  • Prepared to handle high stress and dynamic work environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience cooking in a restaurant kitchen
  • Demonstrated success in culinary excellence and food service hospitality
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EEOC regulations and restaurant food safety procedures
  • Food Safety/Food Handler certification required
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Proven ability to problem solve and handle high stress situations
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions

  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction through excellent food quality, preparation and presentation
  • Collaborate with management to achieve restaurant objectives in food production and guest satisfaction
  • Follow recipe guidelines and food prep standards
