Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a kitchen manager, restaurant manager, or head chef
  • Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes and culinary techniques
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational and conflict management skills
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
  • Certification from a culinary school or degree in restaurant management is a plus
  • Must obtain a Southern NV Health Dept Food Handlers Certification
  • Valid driver’s license is preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation is necessary
  • Must have flexible work hours and be available to work mornings, lunch, nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily food preparation and cooking operations
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to our standards
  • Maintain a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Develop and implement kitchen staff schedules to ensure coverage and efficiency
  • Train kitchen staff on food preparation, safety standards, and company procedures
  • Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and plating to ensure consistency and compliance with health department standards
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Manage kitchen costs and keep weekly and monthly cost reports
  • Handle inventory management and ordering of food supplies and kitchen equipment
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on menu pricing and development
