Job Description

Baker Motor Company, founded in 1988 by Tommy B. Baker, stands as the largest privately held automobile dealer group headquartered in South Carolina. The company prides itself on its expansive portfolio that includes thirteen automotive manufacturers, an in-house Reconditioning Center, an Auto Glass company, and a USAA and State Farm Insurance-approved Collision Repair Center. Located primarily in South Carolina with facilities in Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Summerville, Baker Motor Company represents prestigious brands like Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, INFINITI, Land Rover, GMC, and Cadillac. This well-established and highly regarded automotive dealer group is currently seeking a Highline Sales Manager to join their professional team. This is a full-time role that reports directly to the Dealer Group General Manager. The position is ideal for a high-energy sales leader with a proven track record in successful sales leadership and team building, specifically within the highline or exotic automotive sales sector. The Highline Sales Manager will take a pivotal role in driving sales performance and operational excellence.

The role involves managing team forecasts and setting monthly and yearly sales goals in terms of units sold and gross profit margins. You will be responsible for motivating and coaching the sales team, providing ongoing training, conducting daily reviews of sales performance, and strategizing action plans to meet and exceed sales objectives. Operating multi-brand inventory across online and physical locations will also be a key responsibility, along with ensuring strict adherence to brand standards in merchandising and vehicle displays.

Moreover, the Highline Sales Manager will oversee advertising campaigns, sales promotions, staff evaluations, and compensation plans to optimize dealership profitability and customer satisfaction. This role demands exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to influence and inspire a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will also be expected to navigate dealership management systems effectively to monitor performance metrics.

Working conditions include both indoor and outdoor responsibilities, and the role often requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on market needs. Physical operation of vehicles as part of inventory management duties is expected. Baker Motor Company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including factory training, certification opportunities, 401(k) matching, health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, and an on-site wellness coach and fitness studio. This opportunity is perfect for sales professionals seeking a challenging yet rewarding leadership position in the luxury automotive sales industry.
