Baker, the company has grown to become the largest privately held automotive dealer group in the state. Baker Motor Company represents thirteen automotive manufacturers and features a comprehensive suite of services including an in-house Reconditioning Center, an Auto Glass company, and a fully equipped Collision Repair Center that is USAA and State Farm Insurance-approved. The company operates several franchises across Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Summerville, South Carolina, including prestigious brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, INFINITI, Land Rover, GMC, and Cadillac, along with the Baker Collection Pre-Owned dealership.

The Charleston Mercedes-Benz franchise has been recognized as the Best of the Best award winner from Mercedes-Benz multiple times over the past two decades. Baker Motor Company has also been featured in Automotive News' 100 Best Dealerships to Work For and was named the #1 Best Dealership to Work For in the United States and Canada in 2015. The company prides itself on offering an excellent work environment and extensive opportunities for professional growth and development. Baker Motor Company supports its employees with factory training and certifications, modern climate-controlled facilities including six service shops, a reconditioning center, and a collision center equipped with over 65 and 36 workstations respectively. Matching toolboxes, workbenches, and computer workstations are provided to ensure an efficient and productive workplace.

The role available is for an experienced Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician to join the Baker Motor Company Reconditioning Center. This is a full-time, in-person position within a climate-controlled shop environment, ensuring that the technician has a comfortable and well-equipped workspace. Tools necessary for the job are provided, relieving the technician from having to supply their own essential equipment.

The ideal candidate for this position must have 1-2 years of experience specifically in automotive paintless dent repair and should be able to work Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 5:30 PM, with an hour lunch break. The role also requires participation in a Saturday rotation once a month. The job includes a competitive compensation package based on the candidate's experience. Employees are also eligible for paid time off including holidays, vacation, and sick days after the eligibility period.

In addition to monetary compensation, the role provides a robust benefits package which includes dental, vision, health insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching. Baker Motor Company is dedicated to the wellbeing and success of its employees, offering resources such as an on-site wellness coach and fitness studio, recognition programs, and career advancement opportunities. The company’s commitment to its personnel extends beyond traditional dealership functions, focusing on professional development and fostering a rewarding and healthy work environment.

As a PDR Technician at Baker Motor Company, you will be a vital member of a dynamic Recon Team focused on maintaining the high-quality standards that the company upholds across its dealerships and service centers. This position not only requires technical proficiency in paintless dent repair but also a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
