Job Description

LKQ Corporation is a leading provider in the automotive aftermarket industry, specializing in the distribution of recycled, aftermarket, and specialty parts for vehicles. With a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and customer service, LKQ has grown to become a trusted name among automotive professionals and consumers alike. Headquartered in Chicago, LKQ operates across various locations, offering a wide range of career opportunities in logistics, operations, sales, and more. The company pridefully fosters a supportive and inclusive work environment where motivated individuals can advance their careers while contributing to an industry that values environmental responsibility through parts recycling and reuse.

The current opportunity at LKQ Corporation is for a Delivery Driver position, which is crucial for the efficient distribution of automotive parts to customers. This role is designed for individuals who are not only safety-conscious and responsible drivers but also physically capable of loading and unloading parts, verifying shipment accuracy, and engaging directly with customers at delivery sites. Employment is offered on a full-time basis with competitive pay starting at $20 per hour, complemented by an excellent benefits package. The work schedule is a consistent day shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, making it ideal for those seeking a stable routine.

In this role, the Delivery Driver will be entrusted with the responsibility of safely operating company vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. The driver will verify and document the condition and contents of the delivery truck, maintain accurate delivery manifests, collect payments when necessary, and ensure customers sign receipts confirming the receipt of accurate and undamaged parts. This position also requires compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, necessitating a strong understanding of these standards and the ability to meet physical and testing requirements. The role does not involve supervising other employees but requires excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset to represent LKQ’s values in the field.

Ideal candidates for this position will have at least one year of driving experience, a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, and must meet corporate insurance program qualifications. Although no formal degree is required, a high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with prior warehouse or delivery driving experience to ensure familiarity with logistics operations. Prospective employees should also be physically able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying environments, including cramped spaces and outdoor conditions that may include exposure to noise and temperature extremes.

Joining LKQ means becoming part of a dynamic team dedicated to professional growth, safety, and operational excellence. The company's comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more, reflecting its commitment to employee well-being and development. With an emphasis on training and adherence to safety protocols, LKQ Corporation provides a stable and rewarding career path with opportunities for advancement within the automotive parts distribution network.
