CSUB offers a vibrant campus environment that values diversity, inclusion, and professional growth, supported by a comprehensive benefits package for staff, including medical, dental, vision plans, retirement participation, tuition waivers, paid time off, and holidays. This full-time, on-site position as an Athletics Annual Fund Coordinator falls under the classification Advancement Professional II and is a temporary role ending on or before June 31, 2027, with a competitive monthly salary range between $5,274 and $5,597, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Athletics Annual Fund Coordinator position within CSUB's Division of University Advancement plays a critical role in supporting the fundraising and donor engagement efforts specifically for CSUB Athletics programs. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director of Development, this coordinator is responsible for managing the annual fund and donor relations for the Roadrunner Club — a key athletics fundraising group. The role demands expertise in managing solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship activities for donors and prospects, as well as coordinating fundraising events and supporting revenue-generating initiatives linked to athletics. A significant element of the position involves overseeing the renewal process of annual fund memberships to maintain and improve donor retention rates. The coordinator actively engages with donors through multiple channels, including in-person meetings, telephone calls, and electronic communications, to nurture ongoing philanthropic support. In collaboration with athletics staff, coaches, and the ticketing director, the coordinator helps facilitate premium seating sales and related annual fund gifts for major sports, such as men's and women's basketball and baseball.

Additionally, the Athletics Annual Fund Coordinator works closely with internal stakeholders to implement successful donor engagement strategies and track participation and retention metrics. They also support prospect research and identification efforts by managing donor data and producing relevant reports to guide fundraising campaigns. This position requires a broad skill set, including strong communications, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities, as well as proficiency in donor management software and event planning. The coordinator must exercise independent judgment, prioritize tasks, and balance multiple responsibilities to achieve fundraising goals effectively. By fostering meaningful relationships with donors and prospects, coordinating stewardship events, and supporting donor benefits distribution, this role significantly contributes to enhancing the financial resources and visibility of CSUB athletics. The Athletics Annual Fund Coordinator position is tailored for a proactive, customer-focused professional passionate about higher education advancement, fundraising best practices, and community engagement initiatives.
