The role offered is for a full-time Veterinarian position at a Petco Vetco Total Care Full Service Veterinary Hospital located in Montclair, CA. This key role involves delivering high-quality veterinary care to pets using state-of-the-art medical equipment such as ultrasound machines, heated hydraulic surgery tables, and digital x-ray systems. The veterinarian will be responsible for thorough physical examinations, diagnostics, medical and surgical treatment, and preventative health care management tailored to each patient’s unique needs. The job entails utilizing a problem-based approach to develop comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plans, performing routine and complex surgeries including spays, neuters, abdominal explorations, mass removals, and dental procedures. In addition to medical responsibilities, the veterinarian will be expected to document patient care precisely, communicate effectively with clients and referral hospitals, and actively participate in hospital rounds and knowledge-sharing activities with colleagues and staff.

The veterinarian will work under the general supervision of the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director and is expected to uphold Petco’s veterinary standards and protocols while exercising professional judgment in patient care decisions. This position is not remote and requires working onsite at the Montclair, CA location. The salary range for the veterinarian role is between $87,700 and $186,100 annually, with actual compensation based on experience, location, and other factors.
