The Associate Restaurant Opening Manager role at CAVA is an exciting and dynamic position that drives the success of new restaurant openings across multiple locations, including Austin, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Denver. This remote role requires approximately 90 percent travel, allowing the candidate to actively participate in multiple openings and directly influence the development of high-performing teams. The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about training and empowering others, with proven experience in new restaurant openings and team leadership.
As an Associate Restaurant Opening Manager, the individual becomes a training expert, proficient in operational tools and CAVA's proprietary training materials. They are responsible for recruiting and retaining local New Restaurant Opening (NRO) Trainers, managing budgets concerning labor and expenses, and overseeing the performance and development of NRO leads. The role involves validating training completion for leadership teams, facilitating bootcamps, supporting ad hoc projects to streamline opening processes, and partnering with various departments to ensure smooth and successful restaurant launches. Candidates must exhibit exceptional organization skills to juggle multiple projects, communicate effectively across different channels, and lead teams independently while maintaining a collaborative approach. Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a general manager or equivalent
- Substantial experience with new restaurant openings
- Highly organized and able to track multiple projects simultaneously

- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with recruiting and hiring
- Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and follow up on execution

Job Duties
- Recruit local NRO trainers with a focus on developing and retaining CAVA team members
- Manage pre/post-opening budget including NRO team travel expenses, pre-opening labor, pre/post-opening cost of goods sold
- Oversee NRO leads performance development and performance management
- Validate training of assigned opening leadership teams with weekly check-ins and training completion validation
- Lead NRO bootcamps as needed to support new restaurant openings
- Support at new restaurant openings as needed
- Assist with ad hoc projects aimed at improving restaurant opening training processes and efficiency
