Job Description
BIC World is a globally recognized community of iconic brands that have been creating ingeniously simple and joyful products for over 75 years. With a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible innovation, BIC continuously reimagines everyday essentials to meet the evolving needs of customers around the world. As a leader in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, BIC is synonymous with quality, reliability, and convenience, providing products that have been trusted in homes and hearts for generations.
At BIC World, the culture promotes a proactive, can-do mindset where self-starters, problem solvers, and creative thinkers are encouraged to take ownership and push boundaries. Employees are empowered to bring their unique perspectives to the table and significantly contribute to the company’s mission on a global scale. This creates an environment where career development and innovation go hand in hand, fostering a workplace where every individual can thrive.
We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager, Sales Operations to join our North America Commercial organization. This highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented role is vital in supporting commercial operations through event management, product catalog maintenance, and sales enablement initiatives. You will serve as a key operational partner, working across Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, and external vendors to ensure successful execution of national trade shows and other customer-facing events.
The role demands excellent project management skills to lead and coordinate multiple high-profile events including 3-4 national convenience trade shows and 2-3 industry events annually. You will take full ownership of planning, vendor management, logistics coordination, and budgeting to deliver these events flawlessly. Additionally, you will maintain an accurate product catalog across various categories, support sales training programs, handle trade advertising activities, and manage promotional materials and branded swag.
Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Operations, this position offers an exceptional opportunity to impact sales effectiveness and operational excellence. Success in this role means delivering seamless trade show execution on time and within budget, fostering strong cross-functional partnerships, ensuring commercial teams have the resources and tools necessary to succeed, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency. This position requires strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
With an annual base salary around 75,000 USD and approximately 20-30% travel primarily for trade shows and commercial meetings, this hybrid role suits professionals ready to excel in a dynamic sales operations environment. BIC World is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, offering a work environment that respects and values differences, helping to build better products and serve customers more effectively.
