Job Description

Tend is a pioneering dental care company revolutionizing the traditional dental experience by integrating hospitality, comprehensive diagnostics, and moments of genuine surprise and delight for its members. This unique approach makes dental care more accessible and comfortable, fostering trust and ease for individuals who may have been apprehensive about oral health before. Tend operates as a dental practice network dedicated to elevating oral healthcare standards by focusing on both clinical excellence and exceptional patient experiences. With a modern and thoughtfully designed studio environment, Tend's team of dental professionals replaces common obstacles found in traditional dental care with an inviting, patient-centered approach.

At Tend, dentists are empowered to deliver a full spectrum of clinical care from day one. The well-booked schedule allows dentists to engage in a wide range of procedures, including operative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, all supported by experienced clinical and operational teams. Tend’s holistic approach diagnoses not just dental decay and gum disease but also addresses malocclusion, occlusal wear, and sleep-disordered breathing, which are often overlooked in general dental care. This comprehensive diagnostic process enables members to fully understand their oral health status and participate actively in their treatment plans.

The dentist role at Tend is open to motivated professionals who seek to grow clinically and take on complex cases. Depending on the candidate’s experience and interests, the position can be an Associate Dentist role focused on delivering outstanding clinical care or a Lead Dentist role involving additional leadership duties like mentoring and clinical excellence oversight. Tend’s compensation model is designed to reward high-quality clinical outcomes, comprehensive treatment plans, and strong production performance. Dentists receive a guaranteed daily rate combined with a tiered percentage of adjusted production, with Associate Dentists earning between 30-40% and Lead Dentists earning between 32-40%, with added bonuses for studio performance.

Tend fosters a culture rooted in its core values, including delivering outstanding outcomes, leadership bravery, growth mindset, embracing diversity, and team collaboration. The role requires dentists who are not only clinically skilled but who also embody these values and competencies such as trust-building, clinical judgment, and team empowerment. Dental professionals at Tend enjoy working in an energized, collaborative environment aimed at raising the bar for dentistry while making the experience enjoyable.

This position demands the ability to work full-time or part-time schedules that include Saturdays, and dentists need to be comfortable with modern dental technologies and adopt digital workflows, including Invisalign certification. Physical requirements include the ability to perform precise clinical procedures with manual dexterity and maintain ergonomic positioning throughout the workday.

Tend also offers an excellent total rewards package designed to support dentists personally and professionally. Benefits include opportunities for dentist equity and partnership, options for continuing education and professional development, full malpractice insurance coverage, comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, and additional support services such as life and AD&D insurance, legal support, employee assistance programs, and flexible spending accounts. These offerings promote a healthy, supportive work environment that values growth, clinical excellence, and overall well-being for its team members.
