The Associate Clinical Consultant role in the MedTech Sales department at Johnson & Johnson is a highly specialized and influential position focused on supporting clients and patients in the Houston South territory. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about cardiovascular care and eager to be part of a team that is redefining treatment standards in heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke management. The Associate Clinical Consultant acts as a critical liaison between Johnson & Johnson’s product offerings and the clinical environment, particularly through promoting and supporting the Impella product portfolio, which is designed to aid physicians in delivering advanced cardiovascular care. Responsibilities include advising interventional cardiologists and surgeons on patient selection and product application, delivering comprehensive training and clinical demonstrations to healthcare providers, and supporting clinical procedures by attending implants. This role requires acquiring deep product knowledge, facilitating communication among clinical teams, and contributing to continuous improvement in patient outcomes through education and expert clinical support.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of direct RN/NP/PA or Reg Tech patient support in an ICU CVICU Cath Lab or Cardiovascular OR experience
  • Ability to travel 50% within territory
  • Availability to take call for emergent patient care
  • Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial sales experience related to products and technologies utilized in the cardiovascular space
  • Experience delivering demonstrations and successful trainings
  • Ability to advance sales process with customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to advocate with physicians
  • Experience delivering clinical training
  • RN license strongly preferred

Job Duties

  • Improve patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction including clinical demos and ongoing training for new and existing accounts
  • Collect clinically relevant data complete outcome reviews with customers and communicate activities with other team members and sales counterparts
  • Acquire and demonstrate a working knowledge of our products/therapies and develop an extensive understanding of all their applications
  • Attend implants and consult physicians and medical staff on appropriate use and applications
  • Utilize integrity selling to change the standard of care and drive usage of Impella with physicians
  • Ability to set up 1:1 physician meetings/conversations host physician and staff dinner programs with strong attendance and content
  • Collaborate with sales counterpart on awareness programs and activities in franchise
