The role of Associate Clinical Consultant within Johnson & Johnson's MedTech division is a highly specialized position based in Dallas, Texas. This role focuses on supporting clients and patients in the cardiovascular territory, a field driven by cutting-edge innovation at the intersection of biology and technology. The Cardiovascular team at Johnson & Johnson is dedicated to developing next-generation treatments and devices for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke management. This position offers the opportunity to join a passionate team that continually elevates the standard of care for patients suffering from stroke, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation.

As an Associate Clinical Consultant, you will be an integral part of the Commercial team tasked with demonstrating the value and impact of the Impella product portfolio. The primary responsibilities include advising interventional cardiologists and surgeons on patient selection, partnering on training, and being present during device implants. This role requires a deep understanding of the products and therapies offered by Johnson & Johnson, as well as the ability to provide comprehensive guidance on the appropriate use of Impella devices. The position combines clinical expertise with sales acumen to drive positive patient outcomes and expand the adoption of innovative cardiovascular solutions.

In this role, you will be instrumental in improving patient outcomes through education and interaction with medical staff. Your clinical knowledge will support physicians before, during, and after procedures, ensuring the correct use of the Impella devices. You will collect clinically relevant data, conduct outcome reviews, and communicate insights effectively with your team and sales counterparts. This collaborative environment supports ongoing learning and application of new techniques and technologies, making it ideal for someone passionate about cardiovascular health and medical innovation.

The Associate Clinical Consultant role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to advocate for best practices with physicians, and experience delivering clinical training. Traveling up to 50% within the Dallas territory is expected, highlighting the dynamic, hands-on nature of this role.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of direct RN/NP/PA or Reg Tech patient support in ICU CVICU Cath Lab or Cardiovascular OR
  • 2+ years of commercial sales experience related to products and technologies utilized in the cardiovascular space
  • Ability to advance sales process with customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Availability to take call for emergent patient care
  • Experience delivering demonstrations and successful trainings
  • Ability to travel 50% within territory
  • Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in nursing or related healthcare field
  • 2+ years of commercial sales experience related to cardiovascular products and technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to advocate with physicians
  • Experience delivering clinical training
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular technologies and therapies
  • Ability to travel 50% within territory
  • Proven ability to work effectively in team environments

Job Duties

  • Improve patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction including clinical demos and ongoing training for new and existing accounts
  • Collect clinically relevant data complete outcome reviews with customers and communicate activities with other team members and sales counterparts
  • Acquire and demonstrate a working knowledge of products and therapies and develop an extensive understanding of all their applications
  • Attend implants and consult physicians and medical staff on appropriate use and applications
  • Utilize integrity selling to change the standard of care and drive usage of Impella with physicians
  • Set up 1:1 physician meetings and host physician and staff dinner programs with strong attendance and content
  • Collaborate with sales counterpart on awareness programs and activities in franchise
