The Beverage Manager Assistant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the club's reputation for outstanding beverage service. Under the guidance of the Beverage Manager, this role involves managing the daily operations related to all beverage services, including close support and collaboration with Head Sommeliers and Head Bartenders across various outlets. The position requires diligent oversight of staff performance, inventory control, scheduling, and the enforcement of policies and procedures to ensure the utmost quality and safety standards are met.

Job Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails
  • 2-4 years of experience in beverage positions in a high volume upscale restaurant
  • Understanding and knowledge of distributors and suppliers in the Florida market
  • Available to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, InDesign, Toast POS and Micros
  • Proven team player willing to roll up your sleeves
  • Must exemplify highest standards in honesty, integrity, humility and leadership
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours

Job Duties

  • Work under the direction of the Beverage Manager to manage daily operations of all matters of beverage operations
  • Interact with Head Sommeliers and Head Bartenders at each store to best support them administratively
  • Maintain outlet staffing levels to provide for optimal performance
  • Establish policies and procedures for beverage staff, to include safety and personal hygiene
  • Responsible for efficient, cost effective operation of beverage outlets, including but not limited to
  • labor management, inventory control, security and proper use of operating supplies and equipment
  • Assists with creating schedules for outlet team members
  • Supervises daily activities related to production/delivery of quality product/service
  • Assist with beverage purchase requisitions, assembles beverage outlet orders in beverage storeroom and delivers same to respective outlets
  • Coach, counsel beverage team members as needed in order to ensure superior levels of performance
  • Attend departmental meetings and administrative hearings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Beverage Manager
