As an Assistant Service Manager at Texas Roadhouse, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the Front of House in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This full-time position requires a hands-on leader who can manage and support the service team to deliver excellent customer experiences consistently. The Assistant Service Manager acts as a key support to the Service Manager by ensuring compliance with company policies, overseeing staff training, and managing scheduling within the designated departments. You will be instrumental in driving sales through the development of promotional activities and maintaining exceptional standards in food handling, cleanliness, and safety.

The role demands a proactive approach where leading by example is crucial. You will manage the guest flow, conduct table visitations to gather valuable customer feedback, and assist in developing sales strategies to boost restaurant performance. Collaboration with the Local Store Marketer in sales initiatives and managing responsible alcohol service requirements are also important aspects of this leadership position.

Job Requirements

  • previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles
  • ability to lead and motivate teams

Job Duties

  • Oversees service in the Front of House
  • enforces compliance with all employment policies in area of responsibility
  • oversees and approves all Front of House side work
  • provides and oversees thorough training
  • works during peak business times to set the pace in the Front of House
  • manages through hands-on supervision of the restaurant including non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking
  • ensures 100% table visitation of customers to gather customer insights and assist Service Manager in developing sales strategy
  • leads by example to help develop employees and assistants
  • helps to cross-train employees
  • oversees scheduling of designated departments as directed by the Service Manager
  • develops promotions to drive sales and conducts alley rallies
  • manages compliance with Responsible Alcohol Service training requirements
  • understands and practices safe food handling procedures
  • ensures cleanliness and safety of the restaurant
  • helps to control guest flow
  • assists with liquor inventory and ordering
  • assists Local Store Marketer with building sales
  • maintains culture of the restaurant and lives core values of passion, integrity, partnership, and fun with purpose every day
