Job Description
Cintas Corporation is a prominent and reputable company specializing in providing a wide range of products and services aimed at helping businesses maintain clean, safe, and well-presented facilities. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Cintas serves over one million businesses across various industries, offering solutions including uniforms, mats, mops, towels, restroom supplies, workplace water services, first aid and safety products, eye-wash stations, safety training, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and alarm services. As a publicly traded Fortune 500 company under the Nasdaq symbol CTAS and a part of the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 indexes, Cintas demonstrates its strong market presence and continuous growth.
Cintas proudly operates with a commitment to diversity and equal opportunity employment, ensuring that all qualified candidates receive fair consideration regardless of race, religion, gender, age, disability, or veteran status. The company emphasizes teamwork, safety, and professional growth, offering numerous career development opportunities bolstered by ongoing training and mentoring programs.
The role of Assistant Route Service Sales Representative (RSSR) at Cintas is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical activity and customer service combined with the chance to develop transferable skills and grow career-wise within a well-established organization. The primary responsibility includes managing a set customer route by picking up and delivering uniforms and facility products such as floor mats, dust mops, air fresheners, soaps, restroom paper products, and other ancillary items essential for maintaining customer facilities.
Typically, RSSRs work a four-day week with no weekend shifts, supporting a favorable work-life balance. The position requires considerable physical work, including lifting, carrying, and walking with clean products into customers' premises and soiled products out. Driving is an integral part of the role, utilizing company-owned vehicles to travel between multiple customer locations daily.
Candidates for this role must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for operating vehicles weighing over 10,000 pounds, necessitating valid driver’s licenses, DOT medical certifications, and compliance with age and employment history documentation before starting employment. Beyond the legal prerequisites, successful RSSRs should demonstrate strong customer service orientation, a self-motivated attitude, teamwork capabilities, and organizational skills with a positive, service-minded approach.
This role offers competitive compensation, with base salaries ranging from approximately $19.80 to $24.75 per hour, influenced by the candidate’s experience, skills, training, and other organizational factors. Cintas also provides comprehensive benefits that include multiple medical plan options, such as at least one plan offered at zero cost, as well as dental and vision insurance. Other employee benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match and profit-sharing components, company-paid disability, life, and AD&D insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, and career advancement opportunities through continuous training and skill development.
Those joining Cintas as an RSSR will become part of a supportive and growth-oriented team within a company that values safety, professionalism, and service excellence. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a physically active job with responsibilities that combine driving, customer service, and facility maintenance products delivery while developing future career opportunities in a well-respected Fortune 500 corporate environment.
