Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least three years of customer service experience
- at least three years of food and beverage experience
- prior experience in a high volume restaurant
- supervisory experience preferred
- experience in a hotel setting preferred
- banquet or catering experience preferred
- strong understanding of company values and philosophy
- excellent communication and listening skills
- ability to work well under pressure
- highly detail-oriented
- professional appearance and demeanor
- knowledge of food and beverage industry
- passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
Job Duties
- Work in conjunction with the hotel leadership team to ensure restaurant is accommodating to all guests
- interact with restaurant guests to gauge satisfaction and improve customer service
- drive training, coaching, and mentorship of hourly employees
- follow standard operating procedures for opening and closing service
- supervise staff performance according to established standards
- monitor employee performance and provide feedback
- assist with training new hires to meet company service standards
- promote cooperative effort, team spirit, and good morale
- lead by example in service technique, behavior, and work ethic
- provide feedback to upper management on service team performance
- organize and monitor staff attendance and report issues
- monitor adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards
- take a proactive approach to facility maintenance
- maintain strong communication with leadership and staff to drive restaurant success
- assist with duties of servers, server assistants, and hosts when necessary
- perform administrative tasks as assigned
- maintain composure under pressure
- ensure efficient flow of orders from kitchen to front of house
- ensure orders are prioritized correctly and report quality issues
- assist in final plate presentation
- check dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature
- deliver orders quickly to customers
- communicate important information between kitchen and front of house staff
