The Assistant Manager role at CEC Entertainment offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to elevate your management career within a beloved family entertainment industry leader. This position is centered on leading teams and operations in a high-energy environment focused on exceptional guest experiences and safety. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for key daily decisions relating to time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and upholding high product and guest service standards. The role requires a strong capability in coaching and inspiring staff to deliver outstanding guest service, contributing to a safe, clean, and efficiently run environment. You will play an integral role in building sales and maximizing profits by recruiting, training, and motivating your team to meet both company and guest expectations.

Management of financial and operational components such as cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management also are core responsibilities. The job incorporates ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) in one of four rotating business areas: The Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom. This includes managing product ordering, food safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen; overseeing sales and merchandise areas with an eye on profitability and quality assurance; leading birthday party execution and maximizing showroom bookings; and partnering on equipment maintenance and gameroom performance analysis.

Earn competitive hourly compensation ranging from $19.97 to $22.19 with commission potential based on memberships and Fun Pass sales, paid bi-weekly. The role demands a minimum of one year of management experience, preferably in food service, or six months experience as an Opening Coordinator. Strong communication, coaching, composure, resourcefulness, and ethics are essential skills for success. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and able to work a 40-hour week. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and walking in a lively, sometimes loud environment with varying temperatures.

CEC Entertainment offers a comprehensive benefits package supporting employees nationwide, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may access fixed indemnity medical coverage, and full-time employees receive extensive coverage along with paid sick and vacation time, holidays, and additional education support. The company values diversity and inclusion and adheres to local and federal regulations to ensure a safe and equitable workplace. CEC Entertainment fosters a culture where fun and play unite families while promoting career growth and employee well-being.
