Job Description

CEC Entertainment, LLC ("CEC"), headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company proudly operates iconic brands including Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment has built a reputation for creating joyful, lasting memories through a unique blend of fun, food, and play. Chuck E. Cheese, known as "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®," celebrates more than half a million birthdays annually and is deeply committed to child safety and community support, having donated over $24 million to schools and nonprofits. Their innovative efforts have earned them the "Best in STEM" award in 2025 and recognition as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, illustrating their dedication to both employee well-being and industry leadership.

The Assistant Manager role at Chuck E. Cheese is a dynamic, high-energy position designed for individuals ready to elevate their management careers within the beloved family entertainment industry. As an Assistant Manager, you will lead a motivated team that is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for every guest, ensuring that "every guest leaves happy." This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities focused on operational excellence, team leadership, and financial management. You will be entrusted with making important daily decisions that affect staffing, cleanliness, and service standards to maintain the highest quality environment for guests and employees alike.

Your leadership will be pivotal in driving sales growth and maximizing profitability through effective recruitment, training, development, and motivation of your team. Customer service excellence is a cornerstone of this role, as you coach and inspire your team to deliver top-tier guest experiences while ensuring the restaurant is safe, clean, and well-maintained. Understanding cost controls, inventory management, financials, and labor management will also be critical in successfully managing this role.

A unique aspect of the Assistant Manager position is the ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI), allowing you to rotate through key operational areas including the Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom. This rotation fosters a comprehensive understanding of the business and sharpens your leadership capabilities across different functions. For instance, in the Kitchen, you will oversee food safety, product ordering, pizza preparation from scratch, and general cleanliness. In Sales, you will monitor cashier activities, inventory, and profitability of merchandise and the salad bar. In the Showroom, you will lead the execution and planning of birthday parties, enhancing guest satisfaction and optimizing seating efficiency. Meanwhile, in the Gameroom, you will collaborate with the Technical Manager to maintain game and equipment quality and analyze gameplay data to improve guest engagement.

The role requires strong skills in coaching and developing others, effective communication, composure under pressure, resourcefulness, and ethical leadership. Minimum qualifications include at least a high school diploma or GED, being 21 years or older (or the age permitted by local laws for handling alcohol duties), and a minimum of one year managing people, preferably in the food service industry.

Working as an Assistant Manager at CEC offers a competitive compensation structure including hourly wages ranging from $19.97 to $22.19 with attractive commission potential on membership and Fun Pass sales. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ well-being and growth. Full-time employees enjoy medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, 401(k) retirement plans, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, and much more.

CEC Entertainment fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace environment and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. The company ensures that all employees and guests experience a safe, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere aimed at fostering fun and play for every family.
