The role available is for an entry-level management position within the Food and Beverage category, specifically overseeing Restaurants, Bars, and Room Service Departments. This is a full-time management role based on-site at the Fort Worth location. The pay range for this position is competitive, between $25.77 to $30.29 per hour, with eligibility for bonuses, reflecting Marriott’s commitment to rewarding performance and dedication. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • One year experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Ability to supervise and lead staff
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of local laws regarding alcohol service
  • Ability to handle guest complaints effectively
  • Availability to work full time
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Handle employee questions and concerns
  • Monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met
  • Provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors
  • Assist in supervising daily shift operations
  • Supervise restaurant and all related areas in the absence of the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager
  • Participate in department meetings by communicating a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results
  • Ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
  • Communicate to Chef and Restaurant Manager any issues regarding food quality and service levels
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all restaurant policies, standards and procedures
  • Monitor alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws
  • Assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals
  • Perform all duties of restaurant employees and related departments as necessary
  • Open and close restaurant shifts
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
  • Encourage employees to provide excellent customer service within guidelines
  • Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance from supervisor as necessary
  • Strive to improve service performance
  • Set a positive example for guest relations
  • Assist in the review of comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • Meet and greet guests
  • Supervise on-going training initiatives
  • Use all available on the job training tools for employees
  • Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position
  • Coach and counsel employees regarding performance on an on-going basis
