The Assistant Restaurant Manager position at SSP America within the Dane County Regional Airport is a pivotal role responsible for managing all restaurant and customer service activities to ensure optimal performance and guest satisfaction. This role offers an annual salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 with opportunities to earn quarterly bonuses and a year-end super bonus, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding high performance. In this role, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will lead and develop a dedicated team of Food Travel Experts by recruiting, training, and assigning daily goals and tasks while fostering an environment conducive to collaboration and efficiency. Responsibilities include supervising team member performance, providing constructive feedback, and managing disciplinary actions when necessary. The Assistant Manager is also expected to maintain adherence to company policies, manage merchandising and displays, oversee office operations such as inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and payroll, and assist in sales performance monitoring through forecasting and budgeting.

Ideal candidates will have the technical proficiency to navigate various computer systems including MS Office and POS technology, combined with effective organizational skills to prioritize operational activities. The position demands a strong ability to interact with diverse stakeholders ranging from executives to hourly team members and requires a proven capability to resolve conflicts and maintain a productive work atmosphere. High school diploma or equivalent is required with preference given to candidates holding an associate's degree or equivalent coursework and at least two years of restaurant management or supervisory experience within a similar environment.
