The company specializes in curating unique food and beverage offerings that cater to a diverse range of travelers worldwide. As part of this global network, Sanford Tap represents SSP America's dedication to high-quality food, exceptional customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere within the Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). The establishment prides itself on providing an exceptional dining experience for its guests, blending great food with a friendly and efficient service culture.

This opportunity is for an Assistant Restaurant Manager position at Sanford Tap. The role is full-time and offers a competitive base salary of $23 per hour, complemented by quarterly performance bonuses and an annual super bonus plan. Employees also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and tuition reimbursement.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold the highest standards of service and food quality. This leadership role involves managing and mentoring a team of Food Travel Experts to deliver an outstanding guest experience. The person in this role will oversee all operational aspects, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling and training, inventory management, cash handling, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

This position demands hands-on involvement to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently while maintaining a safe and guest-focused environment. The Assistant Restaurant Manager is expected to provide coaching and feedback to team members, monitor performance, and take disciplinary action when necessary. Effective communication with both staff and management is critical to address guest feedback promptly and implement improvements.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of restaurant management experience in full-service dining, with preferred experience in kitchen or back-of-house supervision. Knowledge of HACCP, ServSafe, and relevant health and safety regulations is essential, along with proven leadership ability to manage teams, control costs, and coordinate schedules effectively. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, is required.

Joining SSP America and Sanford Tap means becoming part of a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, especially within the fast-paced setting of an airport. The company offers significant growth opportunities with a global leader in travel dining, coupled with competitive pay and an attractive benefits package, recognizing and rewarding employees contribution to the company's success. SSP America remains committed to equal opportunity employment and accommodates applicants throughout the hiring process as mandated by law.
