Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands, which have become synonymous with fun, food, and family engagement across the United States and internationally. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues spanning 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment has established itself as a go-to destination for family fun, birthday celebrations, and community connections. Recognized for its commitment to safety, innovation, and employee well-being, the company has garnered awards including the 2025 "Best in STEM" accolade and recognition as one of America's Greatest Workplaces. The company's dedication extends beyond entertainment to community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits, fostering inclusion, diversity, and fun in every environment.

The role of Assistant Manager at Chuck E. Cheese represents a high-energy, rewarding opportunity to lead and inspire a team dedicated to providing outstanding guest service and creating memorable experiences for children and families. This position revolves around upholding the company's mission to ensure "every guest leaves happy," combining leadership, operational management, and a passion for guest satisfaction. Assistant Managers play a crucial role in day-to-day operations, making key decisions regarding staff scheduling, cleanliness standards, product quality, and financial performance. They are responsible for coaching and developing their team, motivating employees to deliver top-tier service while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment.

Assistant Managers at CEC Entertainment also take ownership of an "Area of Impact (AOI)," rotating through core operational sectors including the Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom. This rotation provides a comprehensive understanding of the business, from managing product orders, food safety, and pizza preparation in the Kitchen, to overseeing sales results and merchandise profitability in the Sales area. In the Showroom, Assistant Managers coordinate and lead birthday party planning and execution, maximizing bookings and guest satisfaction. The Gameroom AOI involves working closely with Technical Managers to ensure equipment and games are well-maintained, analyzing play data, managing ticket payouts, and maintaining cleanliness for an engaging guest experience. The career path is suited for individuals who are resourceful, ethical, and composed, with strong communication and coaching skills, ready to advance their management careers in a thriving family entertainment environment.

The compensation structure for this role includes commission potential, which varies depending on the employee's exempt or non-exempt status, with additional earnings based on sales of Memberships and Fun Passes. Payment is distributed bi-weekly per company policy or state requirements. Beyond monetary compensation, CEC Entertainment provides a rich benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision coverage options; retirement plans with 401(k) savings; paid time off; employee meal discounts; tuition savings and scholarships; and financial assistance programs. They also offer an inclusive support system through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and flexible coverage options for part-time and full-time team members.

Working conditions in the role demand physical stamina including the ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds and to engage in various physical activities throughout shifts such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting. Employees work in an environment featuring loud noises, moving mechanical parts, flashing lights, and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels. CEC Entertainment is dedicated to complying with state and local laws concerning paid sick leave and other labor requirements, while promoting health and safety in the workplace. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing reasonable accommodations to support employees with disabilities.
