The role in focus is for an Assistant Restaurant Leader. This position plays a critical part in supporting the Restaurant Leader with the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that Raising Cane's standards for service, quality, and culture are not only met but exceeded. The Assistant Restaurant Leader works closely with hourly crewmembers and has responsibilities ranging from hiring and termination to onboarding, payroll, and scheduling. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • 3 plus years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • new restaurant opening experience preferred
  • possess a valid driver’s license
  • able to work a variety of shifts including days evenings and weekends and travel as needed for work related functions and training
  • proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel Word and Outlook
  • detail-oriented
  • organized
  • strong analytical written and verbal communication skills
  • able to work independently and collaboratively
  • able to recognize and analyze problems set goals create plans and convert plans into action

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Hires and terminates all hourly non-management crewmembers
  • own the onboarding status change and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers
  • create crewmember work and training schedules
  • manage the performance of all hourly crewmembers including development coaching redirective communication and documentation
  • act as manager on duty and open and close the restaurant
  • manage cash handling and ensure accountability
  • enforce Raising Cane’s policies and standards
  • execute shift management meeting Raising Cane’s operations and safety standards
  • use required tools forms and logs to support shift execution document results and take corrective action when needed
  • deploy crewmembers during a shift
  • provide exemplary customer service
  • utilize reward and recognition program for crewmembers in the restaurant
  • authorize employee functions requiring manager approval such as discounts promotions timeclock overrides
  • ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and ensure the facility is in good working order
  • complete other duties as assigned
