This position carries the important responsibility of supporting the Restaurant Leader in the daily management and operational excellence of the restaurant. The Assistant Restaurant Leader plays a key part in maintaining the high standards and strong culture that Raising Cane's is known for. This role demands working within a fast-paced kitchen environment requiring physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending. The Assistant Restaurant Leader also interacts regularly with customers, ensuring an outstanding guest experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
- Flexible and self-driven with strong communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
- Proficient in technology systems including Microsoft Office
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to recognize problems, set goals, and convert plans into action
- Able to perform physical work including walking, standing, lifting, and bending
- New restaurant opening experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college preferred
- 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
- New restaurant opening experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving skills
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Duties
- Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crewmembers
- Owns the onboarding, status change and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers
- Creates crewmember work and training schedules
- Manages the performance of all hourly crewmembers including development, coaching, redirective communication and documentation
- Acts as manager on duty and opens and closes the restaurant
- Manages cash handling and ensures accountability
- Enforces Raising Cane's policies and standards
- Executes shift management meeting Raising Cane's operations and safety standards
- Uses required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action
- Deploys crewmembers during a shift
- Provides exemplary customer service
- Utilizes reward and recognition program for the crewmembers
- Authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval such as discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides
- Ensures cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant
- Completes other duties as assigned
