Job Description
CAVA is a fast-casual restaurant brand that makes it deliciously simple to eat well and feel good every day. Rooted in Mediterranean traditions, CAVA has perfected the art of eating and living well for thousands of years. The company is guided by core values that define its culture and approach, including generosity, curiosity, agility, positivity, and collective ambition. This strong foundation drives everything CAVA does, from the quality of its food to the way it treats guests and team members alike. With a focus on authenticity and excellence, CAVA is a leader in the fast-casual dining space, offering fresh, nutrient-rich, and flavorful meals inspired by Mediterranean culinary heritage.
The Assistant Restaurant General Manager (AGM) position at CAVA is a pivotal role that supports the overall success of the restaurant by embodying the company's mission, values, and competencies. The AGM works closely with the General Manager and Area Leader to implement action plans that enhance financial performance while fostering a vibrant and productive team environment. The role involves assisting in daily restaurant operations, managing inventory to control costs and maximize profitability, and supporting the team through training, coaching, and performance feedback. The AGM is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety and cleanliness standards, maintaining high-quality customer service, addressing guest concerns promptly, and implementing strategies that boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
In addition to operational oversight, the AGM helps manage financial aspects such as sales tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting. They participate in the evaluation of restaurant performance metrics and help identify opportunities for improvement. The role demands agility, problem-solving skills, effective decision-making, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced work environment. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, the AGM may engage in special projects designed to drive restaurant success and efficiency. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for leadership and team development, and a commitment to nurturing an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
Working at CAVA provides an opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing brand that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. The company supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package, flexible work schedules, and a culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion. This role is perfect for a dynamic individual with hospitality experience who is eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization while advancing their career in restaurant management.
