The resort has partnered with the Rouxbe Cooking School, a leading online culinary education platform, to provide its team members with comprehensive, self-paced training programs. These courses feature hundreds of engaging lessons designed to be visually appealing and immediately applicable, enabling associates at all skill levels to enhance their knowledge and skills. This role encompasses preparing and cooking food according to established recipes, quality and presentation standards, and careful food prep checklists. The culinary associate will be responsible for tasks such as portioning, chopping, and storing ingredients, safely using baking and measuring tools, and ensuring food safety and hygiene compliance at all times.

The position emphasizes maintaining kitchen appliance temperatures, sanitization of the work area, and quality control of prepared food and portions throughout shifts. Associates are expected to follow all safety policies, present themselves professionally, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members to achieve common objectives. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Less than 1-year related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Less than 1-year related work experience

  • Ability to speak with clear and professional language
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Proficient in following safety and sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances to prepare baked foods
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area
  • set-up and break-down work station

  • Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
