The Assistant Operations Manager role at CLEAR places you at the heart of airport operations, making a significant impact on customer service, security, and sales performance. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be an integral member of the airport leadership team responsible for overseeing daily floor operations at your assigned station. This position emphasizes a hands-on, customer-facing leadership approach as you spend approximately 80% of your time on the front lines, ensuring CLEAR and TSA policies are upheld with the utmost integrity and security. Your role will include coaching and mentoring your team to meet and exceed sales and service goals, managing shift logistics including briefings, breaks, and rotations, and troubleshooting asset and technology challenges. Through collaboration with airport, TSA, and airline stakeholders, you will represent CLEAR's interests and help foster strong community relationships.

Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing operation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in using technology
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to follow CLEAR, airport, state and federal policies and procedures
  • Availability to work non-traditional schedules including weekends, holidays, early mornings or evenings
  • Completion of all required airport and government security screening including SIDA badge eligibility, possibly including federal Personnel Security SF-85 screening

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing operation such as retail, restaurants, hospitality or rental cars
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and influence others
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
  • Proficiency in using technology daily in your work
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures set forth by CLEAR, airport, state and federal regulations
  • Availability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends, holidays, early mornings and evenings
  • Completion of all required airport and government security screening processes including SIDA badge eligibility
  • This may also include federal Personnel Security SF-85 screening depending on work assignment

Job Duties

  • Spend 80 percent of time on the floor in a customer-facing environment at the airport
  • Ensure CLEAR and TSA policy and procedures are conducted with the highest levels of security and integrity
  • Monitor and drive security, service and sales on each shift
  • Manage shift briefings, debriefs and huddles, as well as any changes, breaks and rotations
  • Coach, mentor and train the team to meet sales and customer service goals and standards
  • Oversee asset control and devices with the ability to troubleshoot technology as needed
  • Represent CLEAR throughout the airport, TSA and airline community by building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Manage incident prevention and responses
  • Attend station management team meetings
