The Assistant Manager (AM) role at Rackson Restaurants is a full-time position pivotal to the restaurant's operational success and guest satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM), the AM supports and sometimes assumes full accountability for daily restaurant operations in the absence of the RGM. This position involves managing financial controls, personnel development, guest services, operational compliance, and maintaining an inviting atmosphere for guests. The AM acts as a bridge between the team members, management, vendors, and the field operations, playing a critical leadership role in driving the restaurant's performance.
The Assistant Manager ensures efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products, meeting established speed of service guidelines to satisfy guest expectations. A key responsibility is motivating and directing Shift Leaders and Team Members to deliver fast, friendly service while upholding clean and safe surroundings. The AM supervises and trains the team on Burger King Corporate products, policies, and operational standards to maintain consistency and quality. In addition, the role requires strict adherence to cash control and security procedures, inventory management, labor optimization, promotional implementation, and analyzing financial reports to enhance restaurant results.
Compliance is another essential aspect of the Assistant Manager's role, including enforcement of governmental regulations, employment law, food safety, security policies, and corporate protocols across all shifts. The position demands availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the quick service restaurant industry. Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- high school diploma or GED required
- two years of management experience working in quick service restaurant industry
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- demonstrates English language proficiency including reading and verbal comprehension
- demonstrates leadership skills

Job Duties
- Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products within speed of service guidelines
- motivates and directs shift leaders and team members to exceed guest expectations with fast and friendly service in clean surroundings
- supervises and trains shift leaders and team members on team stations, Burger King Corporate products and policies
- follows cash control and security procedures, helps implement promotions, maintains inventory, manages labor, and applies financial reports across shifts
- assists RGM in enforcing compliance with government regulations, market policy, employment law, food safety, security policy, operations, and Burger King Corporate policies and procedures across shifts
- leads the restaurant team and assumes full accountability for operations in the absence of the RGM
