The role of Kitchen Assistant Manager at Sheetz is designed for individuals who have a sharp eye for detail and an ability to manage multiple moving parts within a busy food service environment. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferably two-year degree in business-related field
  • Certification testing completion as needed
  • Minimum one year supervisory experience in fast food, restaurant, retail or convenience operation
  • ServeSafe certification required
  • Compliance with any other legally required certifications

Job Duties

  • Back up the Store Manager by providing input on recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of store employees
  • Provide input into scheduling
  • Handle customer questions, complaints, and concerns timely
  • Monitor compliance with Sheetz policies, procedures, and programs among the team
  • Follow up on customer service feedback from shops, QA audits, secret shops, and SMG surveys
  • Manage kitchen operations including recipes, proper portioning, and product rotation
  • Create build-to’s and manage orders and store organization
  • Manage inventory levels and identify opportunities to eliminate waste
  • Monitor costs to drive savings by reducing waste, expenses, and variances
  • Oversee rollouts of new food service initiatives
