Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations globally. The company prides itself on fostering a workplace environment that emphasizes family values and professional development, aiming to inspire its team members to improve their lives both personally and professionally. Panda Express places a strong focus on creating an inclusive and supportive community where employees are not only valued but are also provided with ample opportunities for growth, mentorship, and leadership training. As part of this commitment, the restaurant offers paid Store Management Leadership Training and continuous support from experienced mentors within the Panda community, ensuring every associate's success and career advancement. The company is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and it complies fully with federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace accommodations and non-discrimination policies. They welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage those requiring accommodations during the hiring process to reach out directly for support.

The Assistant Manager role at Panda Express is designed for experienced leaders who aspire to contribute to a successful store operation within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position is pivotal in managing the day-to-day workings of a single Panda Express restaurant location. As an Assistant Manager, you will have the responsibility of hiring, managing, and directing associates to meet financial targets and ensure the delivery of outstanding guest experiences. The role demands a flexible schedule, including availability for opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays, driven by business needs. Effective communication, adaptability to changing priorities, and conflict management skills are essential to thrive in this role.
