As an Assistant Manager, you will serve as the key support to the Restaurant General Manager, taking responsibility for managing the restaurant operations during assigned hours. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to oversee a team of more than three staff members, including shift leads and restaurant team members. Your duties will encompass supervising daily operations to maintain fast, accurate service, ensuring high standards of food quality and positive guest relations, and enforcing health and safety policies in line with Occupational Safety and Health Act regulations and local codes.
You will also play a pivotal part in human resource management, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and providing ongoing feedback to employees. Handling financial responsibilities is another critical aspect of the role, which includes cash control, inventory management, labor cost oversight, and reviewing financial reports to uphold profit and loss objectives. Facilities and equipment maintenance will require your attention to uphold a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment through routine audits and preventative maintenance programs.

Job Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience within the food service/retail/customer service industry

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Serves as the assistant to the restaurant general manager and provides additional management coverage of operating hours and direct supervision of operations in an individual unit
- Customer service interaction and management responsibility for more than 3 people
- Full responsibility for facilities and equipment maintenance, adherence to detailed cleaning tasks, and specific routine financial control
- Human resource responsibilities are crew training, ongoing coaching, feedback for hourly employees, health and safety audits
- Routinely performs hands-on operational work to train employees, respond to customer service needs, or otherwise role model appropriate skills and behaviors in the restaurant
- Managers provide overall leadership
- recognize and motivate members of the team, and coach and train the team for operational excellence
- Positions supervised: shift lead(s) and restaurant team member(s)
- Maintains fast, accurate service, and positive guest relations, and ensures products are consistent with company quality standards
- Ensures occupational safety and health act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met
- Assists profit and loss management by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
- Participates in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members
- conducts performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, motivates and trains
- Ensures company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program
- Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
- Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing plans
