Job Description
Legends is a distinguished company born from a commitment to performance and inspired by the icons of global sports, entertainment, and business. With a legacy rooted in success, delivery, and outstanding results, Legends has established itself as a leader in providing exceptional service experiences. The company’s passion is to deliver remarkable moments at every occasion, redefining the role of a service provider and setting new industry standards. As a premier service partner, Legends manages the majority of guest interactions—referred to as “The Moments of Truth”—where lifelong memories are made and experiences are defined. This dedication to excellence extends through every aspect of their operations, emphasizing an honor of service where no request is unreasonable and going the extra mile is standard practice.
Legends focuses on supplying partners with best-in-class turnkey solutions for live entertainment venues through innovation and excellence. The company adopts a unique approach, embracing new ideas and methods to delight fans, fostering strong partnerships with its clients. Their commitment is evident in the quality of service they provide and their role in enhancing the overall guest experience at major venues worldwide.
This role is based at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home to the University of Southern California (USC) and one of the nation’s most historic sports and entertainment venues. The primary responsibility is to assist the Concessions Manager in managing and directing all day-to-day aspects of concession operations effectively and profitably. This is a full-time hourly position with a competitive pay range of $34 to $36 per hour.
As the assistant to the Concessions Manager, you will play a crucial part in ensuring efficient service and quality product delivery while maintaining excellent customer and client relations. Your role involves critical oversight of department scheduling, labor costs, budgeting, and forecasting to align operations with financial goals. You will ensure the highest standards of safety and sanitation, oversee maintenance of food service equipment, and manage staffing levels in accordance with union contracts to maximize net returns and guest satisfaction.
Additional responsibilities include making operational recommendations, establishing product and service pricing within budget frameworks, helping set annual sales and profit goals, and working on comprehensive financial targets such as cost of goods and profit plans. Oversight of nonunion Concessions Supervisors' hiring, promotion, and termination processes, as well as providing clear instructions on company policies, is part of the role.
Compliance with federal, state, local, and Legends regulations, including those related to alcohol sales, OSHA standards, payroll, employment, and equal employment opportunity guidelines, is a vital aspect of this position. You will also coordinate mid-year and annual concession business plans, ensuring smooth and profitable concession operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, highly organized foodservice professional with experience in concession operations within sports or entertainment venues. The ideal candidate needs excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and a customer service-oriented mindset. Flexibility to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential, as is the ability to thrive in a team environment. If you have a passion for live entertainment and exceptional guest service combined with strong management capabilities, Legends invites you to join their respected team at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and help create unforgettable fan experiences.
