The company is deeply committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience to its customers while fostering a workplace culture rooted in family values and community involvement. Panda Express prioritizes the professional and personal growth of its associates by providing comprehensive training, mentorship, and ongoing leadership development opportunities. This approach ensures that every member of the Panda family is well-equipped to excel in their roles and contribute positively to the company’s mission of inspiring better lives through extraordinary food and service.
The Assistant Manager role at Panda Express is a critical position within the store management team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operation of a single store, which includes hiring, managing, and directing team members to meet financial goals and deliver outstanding guest experiences. This position demands a balance of strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for customer service. Candidates will receive over three weeks of paid store leadership training designed to prepare them for success in this dynamic environment. The role offers a generous compensation package, including bonus opportunities, free meals during working hours, and a comprehensive suite of benefits for full-time associates such as medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401K plan with company match.
Panda Express also emphasizes flexibility and work-life balance, with expectations to work within a 50-mile radius from the store location and accommodate flexible scheduling, including weekends. The company fosters an inclusive work environment and is dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of any protected characteristics. Moreover, the Assistant Manager role involves managing a fast-paced work setting where employees are expected to maintain high standards of food safety, specifically holding a Serve Safe certification. The responsibilities extend to maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and promoting a positive team atmosphere. The assistant manager will play an active role in community engagement initiatives and contribute to Panda Express's continuous growth as a leader in the foodservice industry. By joining Panda Express, candidates become part of a supportive community focused on leadership development, career advancement, and making a meaningful impact both inside the restaurant and through the company's philanthropic efforts.
