The Assistant Manager position is essential in supporting the Restaurant General Manager and ensuring that operations run smoothly in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. As an Assistant Manager at KFC, you will be at the core of the restaurant's success, playing a pivotal role in leading and inspiring your team while upholding KFC's brand standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant or retail management
  • Ability to work 50 hours per week with flexibility
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure

  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Proven ability to manage profit and loss by following cash control, security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor and reviewing financial reports
  • Skilled in training employees and providing necessary resources
  • Strong commitment to promoting equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Experience in leading recognition, collaboration and motivation initiatives
  • Capable of identifying and recruiting exceptional talent
  • Excellent communication skills for performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and employee motivation

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs
  • Oversee Team Members' adherence to shift responsibilities and maintain high food safety standards
  • Take charge of restaurant operations in the Restaurant General Manager's absence
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager in assessing team performance, providing ongoing constructive and positive feedback
  • Address employee relations issues as they arise and determine immediate resolutions or escalate to the Restaurant General Manager when necessary
  • Assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and hiring Team Members while driving a culture of equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Assist with profit and loss management including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance and labor management
  • Review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance
  • Support the Restaurant General Manager in facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are consistently followed
