The role available is for a Shift Manager, an essential leadership position within the restaurant’s operational hierarchy. The Shift Manager is responsible for managing all functions of the restaurant during shifts when the General Manager is not present. This position requires overseeing a staff of approximately three to 15 employees, providing on-the-job training, and managing the ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of all supplies necessary for smooth operations. Key responsibilities include supervising food preparation, sales, and service to guarantee fast, accurate food delivery and world-class customer service. The Shift Manager must forecast food usage accurately, ensure restaurant efficiency during rush periods, route deliveries, and supervise drivers to maximize delivery speed and business viability.

This position demands a hands-on leader who actively participates in daily food preparation, opening and closing procedures, preventive maintenance, and daily and weekly paperwork to maintain system integrity. The Shift Manager is the custodian of cash drawers during the shift and audits previous shifts’ procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Physical stamina is vital as the role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional climbing or balancing, alongside the mental acuity to handle math calculations, use computer software, and manage staff effectively.

Candidates must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as business needs require, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and maintain a clean driving record. The hourly wage for this role is $13, reflecting the combination of hands-on work and leadership responsibility expected from the successful applicant. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manages a staff of approximately three to 15 employees
  • provides on-the-job training for all employees
  • delegates and is responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste and theft
  • assists in the supervision of preparation, sales and service of food
  • forecasts food items
  • estimates what amount of each food item is needed
  • estimates what amount of each food item will be consumed per shift
  • supervises food preparation and service operations while on duty
  • assists In Shopper during rush periods to ensure the maintenance of restaurant efficiency
  • ensures that every customer receives world class customer service
  • routes deliveries and supervises drivers to maximize delivery business and speed
  • completes daily food preparation including opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing and bread production
  • completes closing procedures
  • executes systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness
  • completes daily and weekly paperwork
  • responsible for 100% of the cash drawers at all times during the shift
  • audits previous shift's systems and procedures for 100% integrity and completeness
  • completes preventive maintenance and upkeep on store's equipment and supplies
  • performs other related duties as required
