This role of Culinary Lead Cook is essential to maintaining the supportive, healing environment that All In Solutions fosters. The position balances culinary expertise with strong administrative oversight, ensuring a seamless food service operation tailored specifically to the unique needs of clients undergoing medical detox and recovery. The ideal candidate will bring experience in high-volume meal preparation and institutional kitchen management, backed by a commitment to rigorous safety standards. This role not only involves preparing nutritious meals but also managing vendor relations, overseeing inventory control, and ensuring compliance with health department standards. The candidate must be adept at delivering specialized menus that address the dietary requirements inherent in a recovery setting while upholding hygiene and safety protocols at every stage.

The Culinary Lead Cook will act as the lead in the absence of the kitchen manager, providing consistent service to medical detox clients and supporting kitchen staff through training and guidance. This position operates on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing stability and structure within the kitchen environment. The role demands high organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of empathy given the clinical nature of the surrounding environment. Candidates should also have experience with food ordering software, budget management, and inventory tracking to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Job Requirements

  • minimum 2-3 years of professional cooking experience preferably in healthcare residential or high-volume institutional setting
  • valid ServSafe Food Handler or Manager certification
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings including background checks and health screenings
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • high level of empathy and professionalism suitable for a clinical recovery environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve specialized nutritious meals for medical detox clients maintaining service consistency by acting as lead cook in the manager's absence
  • manage the full supply chain from budget-conscious ordering and vendor coordination to rigorous inventory tracking and waste reduction using FIFO methods
  • oversee kitchen sanitation equipment maintenance and audit-ready documentation to ensure 100 percent adherence to health department and safety standards
  • support the training of kitchen personnel on facility-specific dietary requirements and safety protocols
  • maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
  • monitor food quality and client satisfaction and implement improvements as needed
  • coordinate with healthcare staff to accommodate dietary restrictions and changes
