Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in kitchen or food preparation roles
- Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical kitchen tasks
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production cooking or food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Management or supervisory experience in a kitchen or food service environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices including shift management and food safety regulations
- Background in culinary arts or extensive kitchen experience across various food industries such as catering or banquet services
- Strong leadership skills combined with excellent customer service abilities
- Knowledge of dietary considerations food handling safety standards and hospitality management principles
Job Duties
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in supervising daily food production ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Support food preparation and cooking processes adhering to recipes and safety guidelines
- Help manage kitchen staff during shifts providing guidance on food handling safety procedures and service standards
- Oversee food safety practices including proper storage sanitation and hygiene protocols
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely service during busy periods and special events like banquets or catering
- Monitor inventory levels assist with stock rotation and report shortages or issues promptly
- Promote a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration and maintaining high standards of hospitality
