The position of Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a pivotal role within the housekeeping department, directly supporting the Executive Housekeeper in managing all aspects of cleanliness and maintenance within the hotel premises. This role is essential in ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities meet or exceed the hotel’s quality standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for organizing and supervising daily cleaning activities, managing housekeeping staff, overseeing supplies and inventory, and enforcing health and sanitation guidelines. This hands-on leadership position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate a diverse team to deliver outstanding service. In this position, the individual will conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure the highest standards are maintained consistently. They will handle key control and lost and found logs, respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly, and manage departmental budgets to align with operational forecasts. Furthermore, the Assistant Executive Housekeeper contributes to training and coaching housekeeping associates, promoting a culture of professionalism, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards such as OSHA and Cal-OSHA. Participation in MOD shifts and collaboration with other departments ensures seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. This role demands considerable knowledge of hospitality operations, intermediate computer skills including proficiency in property management systems, and strong communication abilities in English; Spanish is preferred. The position requires at least three years of supervisory experience in the hospitality sector, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license may be necessary. Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Minimum of three years' supervisory or managerial experience in hospitality
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs
  • Must be able to stand, walk and exert mobility for up to four hours
  • Must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Strong communication skills in English, Spanish preferred
  • Intermediate computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations
  • Ability to work various shifts including MOD shifts
