As an Assistant Hotel Manager at Ponte Vineyard Inn, you will play an integral role in sustaining and elevating the hotel's signature exceptional hospitality and guest experience. Supporting the Rooms Manager and Hotel Manager, you will oversee the seamless operation of key departments including Front Desk, Guest Services, Bell/Valet, Night Audit, and Housekeeping. The role demands attention to detail, leadership, and a passion for delivering warm, personalized service that exceeds guest expectations and drives loyalty. The Assistant Hotel Manager associates with all facets of the guest journey, from arrival and check-in to departure, ensuring everything from room readiness to guest recovery efforts is executed flawlessly. In addition to operational management, the position provides leadership and development to hotel associates, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with Ponte Vineyard Inn's values and Four Diamond standards. This role also involves managing guest satisfaction metrics, participating in revenue and occupancy reviews, overseeing retail operations, and serving as Manager on Duty during designated shifts.

Compensation for this exciting hospitality leadership opportunity is $73,000 annually. The schedule requires flexibility, including working weekends and holidays to meet the hotel’s operational needs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in hotel management
  • Proven leadership in hospitality setting
  • Strong guest service orientation
  • Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in hotel management software like WebRezPro
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Help deliver exceptional hospitality and personalized guest service
  • Create memorable guest experiences exceeding expectations
  • Lead VIP arrivals, guest recognition, and service recovery
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and develop improvement plans
  • Support daily operations of Front Desk, Guest Services, Bell/Valet, Night Audit, and Housekeeping
  • Assist with arrivals, departures, room readiness, and occupancy management using WebRezPro
  • Partner with other departments to address guest needs and operational priorities
  • Conduct room inspections ensuring quality and presentation standards
  • Coach associates on anticipatory service techniques
  • Support onboarding, training, and associate development
  • Participate in associate evaluations and provide performance feedback
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly using approved recovery tools
  • Monitor and support revenue optimization efforts
  • Prepare and manage departmental schedules
  • Monitor labor productivity and control payroll
  • Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts
  • Promote safety and compliance with company policies
  • Oversee gift shop inventory and retail operations
  • Handle corporate bookings and group reservations
  • Conduct safety inspections and emergency response readiness
