The Front Desk Manager at Edge Fitness serves as a cornerstone of the club’s member experience and operational excellence. This role requires a dynamic leader who manages a diverse team, including front desk personnel and maintenance staff, to ensure seamless club operations. Key responsibilities include recruitment, scheduling, performance management, and fostering a positive and healthy workplace culture where constant improvement is encouraged. The Front Desk Manager acts as a brand ambassador, connecting members with the wide array of services offered and ensuring member satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and superior customer service. Additionally, this position holds responsibility for facilities management, personal oversight of the club’s cleanliness, organization, and overall environment standards. Communication is a vital component of the role, with daily meetings to strategize on club goals and regular participation in staff meetings to reinforce team cohesion and education. Supervisory duties extend to overseeing Fitness Consultants and stepping in as Manager on Duty (MOD) during the General Manager’s absence.

- Minimum 2 years of leadership and people management experience with large cross-functional teams

Job Duties
- Maintains managerial oversight for the front desk department including front desk personnel and maintenance and communicates regularly with department heads regarding performance
- Recruits, interviews and makes decisions to hire new front desk employees
- Authorizes and approves all staffing changes including hires, promotions and terminations
- Schedules front desk employees to ensure proper staffing within payroll budgets
- Creates a positive and healthy workplace culture that fosters continuous improvement
- Coaches, trains and develops front desk staff sales and customer service skills
- Connects members to services offered by The Edge and manages resolution of member concerns
- Assists management in driving club financial performance
- Monitors Fitness Consultants’ adherence to policies, procedures, grooming and uniform standards
- Conducts daily club walkthroughs to ensure facility maintenance and cleanliness
- Meets with management team daily to strategize on club goals
- Participates in weekly staff meetings to reinforce team building, education and communicate KPIs
