The role offered is a Front Desk Manager position that plays a crucial part in maintaining and elevating the member experience at Edge Fitness Clubs. This is a leadership role requiring a motivated and energetic individual who can manage front desk operations, supervise staff, and contribute to the overall financial and operational performance of the club. The Front Desk Manager is responsible for fostering a positive work environment, ensuring operational excellence, and upholding brand standards. This includes overseeing the front desk personnel and maintenance teams, recruiting, interviewing, hiring new employees, scheduling staff, and coaching the team to improve sales and customer service initiatives.

This position requires a hands-on approach with a focus on communication, providing daily oversight through club walkthroughs to ensure facilities meet high standards, managing member relations to resolve concerns proactively, and collaborating closely with the management team to meet financial goals. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example, maintain a professional image for the team, and ensure that all staff adhere to company policies and grooming standards. In addition, the role carries supervisory responsibilities over Fitness Consultants and serves as the Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the General Manager (GM). Job Duties

  • Maintains managerial oversight for the front desk department including front desk personnel and maintenance and communicates regularly with department heads regarding performance
  • Recruits, interviews, and makes hiring decisions for new front desk employees
  • Authorizes and approves staffing changes including hires, promotions, and terminations
  • Schedules front desk employees to meet club goals and payroll budgets
  • Creates a positive and healthy workplace fostering continuous improvement
  • Coaches and develops front desk staff on sales and customer service skills
  • Brings The Edge brand to life by connecting members to services and resolving member concerns
  • Conducts daily club walkthroughs ensuring facility standards and cleanliness
  • Meets daily with management team to strategize and weekly in staff meetings to communicate KPIs and reinforce team building
  • Supervises Fitness Consultants and serves as Manager on Duty when GM is absent
