Delaware North's Patina Group is currently seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the leadership team at Space 220 in Orlando, Florida. Space 220 is a unique and cutting-edge restaurant that delivers an extraordinary intergalactic dining experience by simulating a visit to the International Space Station, complete with stellar views and gourmet menu offerings. This role specifically focuses on front-of-house leadership and is vital to ensuring smooth daily operations and creating exceptional guest experiences in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of the front-of-house operations including reservations, bar, and floor management. The position is responsible for leading and coaching managers and team members, developing talent, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about mentoring teams and driving operational success while maintaining the high standards set by the Patina Group.
This full-time position offers a competitive base salary ranging between $81,900 and $110,600 per year depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, the role includes an annual bonus plan based on both individual and company performance or an uncapped sales incentive plan. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an assistant general manager or general manager in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment
- Proven ability in P&L management, cost control, and budget oversight
- Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and mentoring diverse teams
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to create memorable guest experiences through excellent service leadership
- Proficiency in computer applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an assistant general manager or general manager in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, cost control, and budget oversight
- Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing employees across a diverse workforce
- Organizational and time management skills, as well as written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience creating memorable guest experiences through attentive, service-focused leadership
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Job Duties
- Ownership of FOH operations in accordance with Patina Group standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with license partners, vendors, and key stakeholders to support operational excellence and business objectives
- Foster positive guest relations by ensuring exceptional service standards and creating enjoyable, memorable dining experiences
- Supervision of team members and ensure company policy and procedures are followed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding liquor, sanitation, payroll, and employment
- Oversee training and development of managers and team managers
- Manage all front of house operations including reservations, bar, and floor management
