Job Description
PBR Hampton: A Coors Banquet Bar is a premier entertainment venue located in Hampton, celebrated for blending the excitement of the toughest sport on dirt—bull riding—with a sophisticated nightlife experience. This vibrant establishment has transformed into one of Hampton's most stunning clubs, boasting beautiful decor, a wide selection of cold beers, hard drinks, and a lively atmosphere that caters to every urban cowboy and cowgirl. Known for its unique combination of sport and social scene, PBR Hampton offers guests an unforgettable experience where the rugged spirit of cowboy culture meets the energy of a modern bar and nightclub setting. It is a dynamic environment that appeals to a wide demographic, ranging from rodeo enthusiasts to those simply looking for a fun, high-energy night out.
The Assistant General Manager at PBR Hampton plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards and smooth operations of this popular venue. This full-time position carries an annual salary range between $65,000 and $75,000, reflecting the responsibility and leadership required for success. The Assistant General Manager is tasked with overseeing daily venue operations to ensure everything runs efficiently and effectively within the guidelines established by company policies. This includes managing staffing levels to meet operational demands and maintaining the professional image of the venue, which involves enforcing cleanliness standards, uniform policies, and overall appearance.
Moreover, the Assistant General Manager is responsible for controlling the venue's profit and loss by following strict cash control and security procedures, maintaining accurate inventory, managing labor costs, and reviewing financial reports to make informed decisions. This role also focuses on maintaining cost controls related to goods sold, nightly complimentary services, financial recaps, and safe audits by supervising inventory counts regularly. Critical to the position is upholding excellent customer service standards by responding promptly and efficiently to guest needs, ensuring an outstanding visitor experience.
In addition to internal management duties, the Assistant General Manager assists with administering third-party vendor contracts and ensures all financial and administrative tasks related to payroll and personnel are completed accurately and on schedule. Recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and when necessary, disciplining team members, form a vital part of this role, requiring strong leadership and communication skills. The role demands flexibility and adaptability, given the dynamic nature of operating a busy nightlife venue with entertainment and special events. Safety within the venue is a top priority, where the Assistant General Manager proactively reduces risks by fostering a safe environment for both staff and guests.
This position operates within a fast-paced hospitality environment that requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills and a passion for teaching and developing others. PBR Hampton offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid personal and vacation time, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, PBR Hampton supports inclusivity and diversity in its workforce, providing all employees with the opportunity to thrive in a welcoming, energetic setting.
