The Assistant General Manager position at Levy is a critical role focused on the day-to-day restaurant operations at Queenie's Restaurant, located in the United Center. This role demands a dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences by overseeing hiring, training, and managing all operational facets. The Assistant General Manager ensures that service standards are met by holding the team accountable and adapting effectively to changes without losing momentum. They are tasked with maintaining positive guest relations, obtaining regular feedback through table visits, and executing show-quality standards. Training team members to align with the brand through comprehensive knowledge of the menu, wine selections, and beverage offerings is a key responsibility. Additionally, this role promotes a positive work environment by carefully selecting team members, maximizing productivity, and maintaining suitable staffing levels according to business demands.

Compliance with state, federal, and internal business regulations is essential, including responsible alcohol service guidelines and safety and sanitation standards. The Assistant General Manager also partners with the General Manager to engage in the financial goals of the operation, ensuring profitability and efficiency. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 and supports a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • 4+ years experience managing restaurant operations
  • A degree in hospitality or related field is preferred
  • Able to work independently and have the capacity to manage up and down
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Promotes a positive work environment through hiring/selection of team members, maximizing productivity and morale through team member engagement, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels per business needs
  • Maintains state, federal and business compliance, including but not limited to responsible alcohol service guidelines, safety and sanitation standards, and client requirements
  • Engages in the financial goals of the operation with support from the General Manager
  • Additional duties/responsibilities, as assigned
