Job Description

Felix and La Cave represent a distinctive family-owned hospitality group that embodies the perfect blend of upscale dining, cultural authenticity, and a close-knit work environment. Situated in a thriving neighborhood, these two high-volume restaurants have carved their niche by focusing on quality, service, and a strong sense of community. Felix Cocktails et Cuisine brings the elegance and charm of a Parisian all-day restaurant to life, offering craft cocktails, French-inspired cuisine, and an inviting laissez-faire dining experience. It stands as a neighborhood staple where patrons gather for long, leisurely brunches, lunches, dinners, or casual drinks, all crafted with care and an eye for detail. Adjacent to Felix is La Cave, an intimate French dining room led by Chef Alex Eaton, reflecting the serene and slower-paced lifestyle of the south of France. La Cave’s seasonal, ingredient-driven dinner menu is expertly paired with a curated selection of French wines, finely crafted cocktails, and selected whiskies, providing guests with an elevated and memorable culinary journey.

At the heart of these establishments is a family-oriented approach to hospitality that permeates everything they do: from operational excellence to investing in their team members and nurturing a workplace culture that values dedication, respect, and growth. The Assistant General Manager role offers a unique opportunity to join this passionate team and shape the guest experience at both Felix and La Cave by leading the floor with authenticity, precision, and warmth. This role is designed for a service-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and understands the nuances of fine dining hospitality.

This full-time position demands at least three years of experience in upscale, busy restaurants where leadership and an attention to guest satisfaction go hand in hand. The ideal candidate will lead by example, demonstrating hands-on management throughout service hours, continuously mentoring front-of-house teams, and ensuring every guest’s visit is nothing short of exceptional. Responsibilities include managing daily floor operations during service, upholding impeccable hospitality and service standards, and serving as a key liaison for guest relations to promptly resolve any issues while building rapport with both new and returning guests.

Operationally, the Assistant General Manager will assist with opening and closing procedures, manage inventory for front-of-house supplies, and foster seamless communication between various departments. Additionally, this role supports both the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in administrative and operational tasks, contributing to the smooth running of both establishments.

Successful candidates can anticipate a varied schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on seasonality and operational needs, typically encompassing 45 to 50 hours per week. Compensation is competitive and supplemented with paid time off (PTO) after 90 days, as well as comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. Employee benefits extend to a shift meal and discounts applicable across both restaurant concepts, making this an attractive opportunity for hospitality professionals seeking career growth in a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. By joining Felix and La Cave, Assistant General Managers become integral to a team that values culture, quality, and genuine hospitality, all while advancing in their management careers within an esteemed family business.
